Lost & Found Part 2

After losing my wallet, I told myself to be extra careful in the future. And everything went on without much incident until the end of my stay in Singapore.

Finally, I was leaving the land of Kiasu. I took a bus from Kranji to Larkin, carrying a backpack and another bag full of laundry...

Disaster #2
I had been extra cautious at the custom checkpoint, where it is crowded. I checked on my wallet, passport and cellphone all the time, to make sure that they were still in my pocket. Yadda, yadda, yadda...... Finally, I arrived at the Larkin bus station. There, disaster strucked once again. As mysterious as my previous encounter, I found that something was missing right after I stepped out of the bus. This time, my passport...

OMG... why is this happening to me? First wallet, then passport? These were the two most important things that I had brought along with me. How could I lose them both(although I have got my wallet back at that time) in such a short period of time?

I was worried... There might be a lot of good samaritan in Singapore, who would hand over anything found by them to the right person. But in JB? I, myself, had lost faith in finding my passport back.

Of course, I lodged a police report. This time in Johor. Yadda yadda yadda... Some told me that I would be barred for few years from getting a new passport. Even worse, I had to get my US visa done again. Such a trouble... not to mention that I would have to pay not less than RM680 to get everything done (passport + visa).

I tried to recall hard, on how I would have lost it... After thinking thoroughly, I drew a conclusion. The most possible way to lose it, was at the JB checkpoint, where I had to scan the passport at the autogate. I might have left the passport there after scanning it.

So, I decided to try my luck, yesterday... I called the Causeway Custom, and asked whether anyone had found my passport. Ada, ada... the officer replied. Wow, it's a double relief this time! Thinking about the trouble I have to go through, if the passport is not found, I am really relieved this time, to have it back. I have not collect it though, gonna do so next weekend. Let's just cross my fingers and hope that nothing would happen before I can reunite with my passport.

It's amazing that the two most important things that I have lost was found in the end... I had lost something in the first place, but gained some lessons in the end:
