*TIME OUT for the Hong Kong posts* I have not been blogging much in October, probably because there were too many pictures for my Hong Kong trip. I feel dreaded to upload all of em, coz the connection sux!! So blame TMNutz...THINGS I HAVE DONE IN OCTOBER:- Went back to my hometown, Pontian, during the Raya break
- Slept, ate, watched Singaporean channels @ home
- Played mahjong @ Kelvin's house
- Played football with lil kids near Jenn Wee's house
- Fixed my dented car rim
- Witnessed the death of the 29" TV @ home
- Came back to KL and had my reversed culture shock (I had a tough time switching back to my working days routine right after such a long break)
- Started playing pool again
- Visited some flea markets during the weekend
Talking about flea market, I've got myself some great bargain from the flea market
@Amcorp Mall. I've bought myself two books:
- Rich Dad's Before You Quit Your Job
- Blue Ocean Strategy
Those two books would cost you more than 100 ringgit if you buy it at any bookstore. And guess how much I spent on em?
Only RM50~!! Ori or not? Well... I can't really differentiate (
you know what I mean)...
Both books are business-related.
Before You Quit Your Job talks about things that every entrepreneur should know to build a multimillion-dollar business, while
Blue Ocean Strategy focuses on how to overcome the competition when you start a business. Both are MUST-READ for wannabe bosses!
If you look at the picture above, you'll notice that besides the two books I bought, there's a NewMan magazine. I'm not a frequent reader of that mag, but this issue is special. I was at the news stand and was attracted to the cover. Who's on the cover? It's someone who put my hometown, Pontian, on the world map! So I bought it immediately.
What's so special with this issue? The covergirl, was my kindergarten classmate, Adeline Choo! In case you don't know who she is, click on the picture to enlarge it. You'll be able to read the caption - Miss Malaysia / World 2006. Yup, exactly! The former Miss Johor Tourism is now our latest Miss Malaysia / World. Go get yourself a copy lah, but I don't think you can find it since the November issue is already out. Anyway, my copy is up for rental~ Ngehehehe...
